A true community local, Dr. Roach grew up right here in Walnut Creek! She attended veterinary school at Texas A&M, graduating in 2011 before joining Civic Feline Clinic. She enjoys working with cats because they are unique and she particularly relishes the challenge of diagnosing and treating their subtle ailments. Her favorite aspect of working here is the hospital’s prolonged history (spanning decades) of excellent care and she attributes that to the longevity of our staff. She also loves the privilege of caring for cats throughout their lives, from kittens to adulthood to their golden years, and getting to know their humans in the process.
Dr. Roach knew from an early age that she wanted to work with animals and remembers playing “zoo” on the stairs of her childhood home. After high school she worked as a kennel technician, a job which solidified her interest in becoming a veterinarian.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and infant daughter, swimming with the Walnut Creek Masters, playing tennis, traveling and reading. Her family includes one grey tabby, Dorian, who, as a kitten, acquired Dr. Roach while she was in veterinary school.
