Surgery: General surgery; inluding spay, neuter, declaw, wound repair and soft tissue surgery, are routinely available with our doctors. We also work with board certified surgeons if your cat requires more specialised procedures.
Laboratory Services: We offer in-house diagnostics that include serum chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, fecal parasitology and viral testing (FELV/FIV). We also utilize Veterinary labs for more extensive blood panels and pathology. We have recently updated our in-house CBC (Complete Blood Count) equipment for increased and more accurate data.
Dietary Counseling: A good diet is vital to the health of your cat, at any age. Information on special dietary needs has increased in recent years. We have a large selection of quality foods for growth, weight maintenance/loss, high performance and for special needs such as kidney disease (low protein), Feline Urologic Syndrome (low ash, acidifying), allergic skin disease, diabetes and chronic bowel problems. Ask your doctor to recommend a diet. Feline obesity is at an all time high and we keep current on new information and diets when they become available, including Hill's M/D and Purina D/M diets. Please call for more information.
Anesthesia: Examination prior to induction, constant evaluation with a heart monitor and using new safe anesthetics work to prevent potential problems during anesthetic procedures. We recommend that your cat have pre-anesthetic blood work if your kitty is over 8 years of age to check for normal liver and kidney funstions.
Dental Care: It is important to take care of our cat's teeth as well as we do our own. Our hospital stresses yearly exams and preventative hygiene. Our services include cleaning (ultrasonic scaling), oral surgery, polishing, extraction and dental X-rays. Your doctor will make dental health recommendations with each exam. A clean mouth is essential for good health.
Fees: Yes! We're afraid we do charge fees, but please do not hesitate to ask about costs and to discuss them with the doctor. We will always give you a written estimate before a procedure is started. An advance deposit may be requested for admission of non-elective surgical and medical cases. Hospital fees must be paid in full when services are rendered or upon discharge from the hospital. We accept cash, personal checks, Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Novus/Discover and Debit cards.
