Rabbits and other small Pocket Mammals: Dr. Josie Thompson and Dr. Suzanne Trosclaire do see non-cat creatures at the hospital. Rabbits, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs are all seen in their daily practice. They all have special housing and dietary needs that can be discussed during an appointment time. Spaying and neutering of rabbits is recommended at an early age.

Reptiles: Dr. Josie Thompson and Dr. Suzanne Trosclaire also sees reptiles at the cat hospital. In 1989, the doors were opened to snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises and a few amphibians (tree frogs). The knowledge about reptiles in captivity has grown tremendously with many journals, meetings, and books devoted to the surgery and medicine of these species. All methods of diagnosis are available for the reptile pet from radiography to blood work. If you have questions concerning a reptile friend of yours, please call for a consultation or appointment. Please call for more information.
